This movie is very good for a horror filmIt starts off well and you have very good characters, the father in the film is a very good actor.Overall the directing of the movie is excellent, all the pieces fit together well and you understand the story. A lot of horror films fail in the directing as things are mismatched and no one knows what is is going on.It is a very well told story that develops into lots of thrills and scaresIt is not a gory film which is very good but it keeps you entertained all the way throughThe characters are excellent and interesting, the acting is good so this keeps you gripped all the way throughOverall an enjoyable film and does the job of a good horror film
'Sentiment: Positive 🙂'
This 2012 horror film stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick. Morgan (The Walking Dead) plays Clyde, a recently divorced dad who spends time with his 2 daughters. Soon, one of them becomes possessed by an evil spirit contained in a box they bought at a yard sale and Clyde tries to save her with help from his ex-wife, Stephanie (Sedgwick). This isn't bad, it obviously follows the same formula as "The Exorcist" and Morgan is great as usual. Give this one a view if you like supernatural horror.
'Sentiment: Neutral 😑'
Let's run down the key points: spooky religious fables, emotionally detached kids and distant adult relationships. These three components did have some potential but the execution of each was flawed from the start. Not remotely scary at all, and to think this started with online rumours via eBay should've told me how retarded things would turn out. The viewing experience doesn't open itself up to something challenging and provocative. Instead the movie meanders between mundane social drama whilst attempting to insight gullible curiosity. The words 'Pandora's Box' do come to mind often. Turning what could've been something original into another recycled fan-boy's dream. Predictable storytelling performed by a surprisingly good cast of actors. It's nothing that you haven't already seen before.
